Here be another one! Like johnd, I have everything she's written.
Since you like McCaffery, another series you might want to check out 
is "The People" set by Zena Henderson. Def. worth the read and are set 
up as a series of short stories.
(Her other short stories are excellent also. The absolute best horror 
stories I've ever read are her 'Hush' ((this was made into a TV 
episode of one of the Nightgallery or similar shows and 'Stevie and 
The Dark.))
They might be out of print again, but you should be able to find a 
copy in your library. Def. worth the read and are set up as a series 
of short stories.

Also high on my 'must read' recommendation list are the Saint-Germain 
books by Chelsea Quinn Yarbro.
