Well, I'm fairly new to this ML, and hopefully this ML will help me
deal with
the rather extreme case of writer's block I've been suffering lately. Hell,
I can't
even turn out a bad Ranma fanfic! (Quick! Someone get me some
Blok-Be-Gone!) I know
I can get it out, but it's gonna take a while.

I've done a little bit of writing, and I know I can do ok sometimes,
but taking
someone else's idea and working with it can be very hard, and I'd like to
hear how
some of the big guys out there handle working with someone else's stuff.

I've got a couple ideas that I've played around with, my primary one
being
a follow-up to My Neighbor Totoro. I know, I know, but it really saddens me
to see that the *ONLY* piece out here in fanfic land is that... that...
that... HENTAI THING!!! I hope I never meet the person who wrote it,
because their life span will be shorter than the halflife of a free-floating
quark.

I've also got the prerequisite Ranma fanfic ideas, and a couple
original creations floating around in my head. The big problem I get is I'm
not too good at the comedy side, being a little bit too serious for most
people's tastes. I like to laugh just as much as the next person, but every
story I write comes out as depressing. If you want, I've got an excellent
example of this trend... Although it isn't anime related, if enough people
are interested, I'll throw it at you.

Thanks for listening to my blather! Ja ne!

Fnord.
