Why not have Skuld build some Mecha to help Akane cook . Knowing the 
relaibilty of Skulds Mecha (and the quality of Akane's cooking) , you 
should have ample oppurtunity for comedic moments ....

Like :

Akane : Uhh , Skuld are you sure you should be using thermal Nuclear power 
for this machine ....

Skuld : Trust me , it's safe !!!

Akane : Okay , what do I do now ? 

Skuld : Just add the ingredient's . 

Akane : Hai , (add's the ingrdients for her cookies) 

Skuld : Are you suppose to be adding white whine to cookies ? 

Akane : It's not white wine , it's vineager !!!

Skuld : Ahh , not vineager !!! It'll react with the nuclear power ... AHHHH!!!

Thus a nuclear explosion destroy's Nermia . 

Yes , I know this is exterme , but a toned down version could work ...
