Hiding out so Sapphire can find him....
... WHAT???? :)
Opps, well I am partial to cats ;).
Thanks for the C+C Sapphire got it and saved it. Anyone else?
Extra Bonus: This was a tiny plot idea (ie role play idea) I had
for Anime Mush which didn't get used basicaly because summer hit and
everyone left for vacation. Most the characters used are based on their
anime/manga counterparts but some things have changed. I haven't
checked this so please be gentle....ya right. ;)
Quickie Score Card:
Amush: Anime Mush is a planet in space where all these people live.
All parts of their own worlds are linked to the Core. All this was
created by Dee_Ehll.
Riders: They have matured and have set up a base on Amush. Burke is
also here, somewhere.
Things that happened before: Bean_Bandit was captured by someone
and replaced with a clone. But after a junkyard fire fight, we find out
the real Bean is with Genom. Nabiki has been turned into a merc of
sorts and you thought she was bad when she blackmailed. ;) If anything
is out of place then blame me...as always. Enjoy.
Amush Tiny Plots
"Airel stat photos picked up these readings this morning."
Bentley said to the group as they settled themselves into the high
backed cushioned chairs in the Upper TIC.
The lights in the ceiling dimmed slowly as the three dimensonal
viewer in the middle of the marble table came alive. The veiwer's lens
cap parted four ways and the eye rose up, little sparkles of light and
mist followed as the images from the main computer thrity levels down
gave the view what it wanted.
A color ariel shot of the Amush Core dematerilizes above the eye
while certain markings and notes said the time, the lat and long of the
area one little area on the upper right of the photo was colored in
with different colors such as red, green and yellow.
Toma leaned foward in his seat, he looked at the marking for land
and such which was in the lower left of the picture. "Where is this?"
Keiichi hrmmmed to himself. "Looks like the jungle."
Bentley smiled. "It is, about 200 miles north north west of Amush
Core." His eyes still gave off a little glow of redness as the darkness
of the room settled in, he watched the group as the colors of the
jungle spot fluxed from red to blue to black then to white. "As you can
see the power signature was off the scale."
Nabiki was the first to shrug her shoulders and snort. "Why are
you telling us this?"
Bentley closed his eyes for a moment and sighed. "That piece of
jungle is unmarked and un-traveled, no one is supposed to be there."
Nabiki shrugged again. "So's?"
Bentley left the lights dimmed and walked to the front of the
table, leaning on it with his hands, looking at the mixed group of
people, a smile forming. "Anyone like to go on a little Safari?"
Godai was the first one to pipe up. "Sounds cool!"
Nabiki laughed. "Your talking about going into an uncharted
jungle and looking for something? You call this a little Safari? What
are you going to go in with you little hitch squad-"
Ranma put a hand on Nabiki's arm, calming her down. "Let him
speak."
Nabiki sighed inwardly and sat back in her seat, crossing her
arms and glaring at Ranma, while Bentley walked towards the stairs.
Bentley leaned on the rail on the edge of the Upper TIC, in one
hand he holds a little remote, he presses one of the many buttons on it
and points it towards one of the walls. With a slight beep the wall
slides open, the hissing sound it makes make everyone turn around. This
hissing sounds more like a rumble and the wall door comes to a halt,
mist and vapor fall out of what seems to be a closet as little blue
neon lights embedded in the wall come on one at a time.
Bean Bandit's whistle made Bentley smile as all the little neon
lights come full circle and light the little closet. He leans forward
and walks towards the closet. "We won't be completly defenseless
Nabiki, we do have some options..."
"Those being?" Nabiki asked, snorting at the large weapons as the
wall of the closet was pushed foward and weapons on racks came out into
the light. "We just came back from Florida from training and you want
us to go a little Safari?"
"Does she always complain this much?" Godai asked and caught his
tongue as he recieved a dagger look from Nabiki. "What are we looking
for in the jungle?"
"I don't know."
Most of the people in the Upper TIC turned from their whispering
and looked at Bentley. Bentley hefted one of the long rifles out of the
closet and checked the energy level on the laser compressors. He turned
as the room fell silent. "Something wrong?"
"You mean to tell me you have no clue?" Alita finally spoke, the
female android still glistened in the low light, her blue/black locks
swayed lovely as her eyes dropped onto Bentley and the rifle. "Why go
then?"
Bentley laughed, putting the very large long rifle onto the
table top. "I dunno about the rest of you but I'm bored shitless.
Nothing has happened in the last month or so, and I mean nothing."
"When you get bored, trouble follows...."
The heads at the table turn at the sound of the voice coming from
the west wall. The shadows that surround the area twirl and mixing
together with light and colors. One moment there is nothing the next
there are a group of people standing there. Six people in all, three
females three males.
"Nice of you to join us," Bentley recognizes the six. Of all of
them, only three were with him when the ADP Building became a battle
ground. Lupin, Sasami and Briareos. The other two: Mousse and Shampoo
he hadn't gotten to know to well while the person that has activated
the fold gate from his comic shop a world away was Tanya O'Hare his
mentor.
"My My the gangs all here," Lupin bows slightly to all and finds
a seat next to Ranma, the so called "entrapanour" holds a seat for his
girlfriend Sasami as Briareos finds the seat at the edge of the table
designed for him. Mousse and Shampoo find opposite ends of the table to
sit at while Tanya leans against the back railing. "How are have you
gotten?"
"Up to the weapons part and that's about it," Bentley replied,
hefting the weapon back into it's holding jacks. "They don't seem to
interested."
"What?" Sasami blinked and look around at the table of people.
"Come on it'd be fun, bungle in the jungle."
"Some of us have better things to do," Nabiki seethed.
Shampoo made a face. "Always things to do, Nabiki."
Bentley cleared his throat before the two Nermia residents began
to look for hefty objects to throw at each other. "What the bottom line
_is_: Dee has already cleared this lill safari out to the congo of
Amush. The Dropship leaves in eleven days from here, anyone is welcome
to come, you can show up that day or not. I figure this might be a nice
little diversion from what's or what's not been going on. Just wanted
to make that clear. You can contact Tanya or I if you need more info."
Bentley shut down the three-d camera and activated the lights, a
slight groan was let out from some as the large hanging lights came on.
"That's all for now, see some of you in a few days."
The group walked out of Phantom Images Inc and into the night
air. The stars hung in the dark sky while the double moons both wanning
illuminated enough of the dirt road that Bentley didn't have to turn on
the lamp lights that led back to 200 North Street. He turned on the
lights anyway, turning them down to about one fourth power. He grabbed
his coat and walked out into the cool night with everyone else.
"Can you let me know by at least next week?" Bentley asked
shoving his hands into the coat pockets. "Fuel and weight I'm just
concerned with."
Ranma nodded. "We'll let you know." He turned to follow Nabiki
out onto the dirt road. He hesistated. "Who else is going?"
"Tanya, Bri, Lup, Sas, Me are written in stone. Who ever else
decides to come along can." The teenager replied, looking at the some
of the hopefulls who would join them. "I just need to contact Gamma
Base for fuel, flight plan, wieght ect ect."
Toma nodded, his breath seen in the night air. "Sounds
interesting."
"I hope so." Bentley replied. He nodded good night to everyone
and stepped back inside the comic book store. He left the lights on and
just hit a switch, once there was no more motion from outside no more
lights. He kept his coat on and slipped into the back room. He walked
right through a wall, down a spiral stair case and into the Hangar Bay
underneath the store. It was split level. The Upper TIC occupied the
second floor while the Hangar made up the first. The basement level was
still under construction.
Bentley walked up the ladder and into the Upper TIC. Tanya and
Bri were there inspecting the weapons. "I take it some of them are
coming?" The amazon asked, hefting one of the larger Cutter Rifles.
"Toma, Keiichi and Bean seem intent on coming. Nabiki, Ranma and
the others I dunno about. In the long run we can only have so many
people." Bentley took a quick look around. "Where's Lup?"
Bri thumbed down. "Giving out guests the grand tour. They seem
intent."
Bentley nodded leaning on the rail, looking over the Bay. "Eleven
days is a long way away."
"When's the Phoenix due in?"
Bentley sighed and leaned over the rail more, getting a good look
at the chrono built into the wall. "In about fourteen days. The Ohio II
will be with them, setting up a post here and all."
Bri's metalic eye lids blinked. "More of you?"
Bentley smiled and winked. "Oh yeah." He turned to Tanya. "And
your going to have to be here when they get back. Their bringing that
kid we found in the chamber a month ago at that Junkyard."
"My home world's collected knowledge couldn't get her out of that
pod?"
Bentley shook his head of brunette hair. "Basile wouldn't tell me
a thing over the net, which means one of two things, either the kid's
too important to get sprung or someone doesn't want her sprung."
"That last part is worrying me." Tanya muttered. "I hate it when
you two get into this mode."
Bentley chuckled. "I think he's playing with fire and I think he
knows it. And that's why it's scaring the shit out of him."
