I thought the original point of the story was to deal with what
happened to Ranma. Making Akane super-powered (and face it, these are
super powers here, not chi powers) takes away some of the story's
"realism."
It is, but his 'world' focuses around him. What happens to him affects
those around him.
Andrew, stop ppulling straws. Take into consideration that maybe
some of these comments might not all be baka like mine.
Consider: If Akane has the potential to become a demigod, then
there is _no way_ Ranma-chan could be raped by five street toughs
(transitivity property in action: Ranma-kun beats Ranma-chan beats Akane
beats entire male population of Furinkan high at once should beat five
punks). The Nerima of this fanfic started off as a more "realistic"
world, with the characters not being avatars of fighting. Thus
Ranma-chan _could_ lose, and we had an interesting drama going on.
realistic?
